The next couple of weeks look good. Strawberries are going to be planted in the next week or so. Broccoli, Cabbage, and lettuce are looking good. July has been busy. Keeping up with the water has been a challenge. Hitting 100 degrees for so many days and then having 98 a lot of days make for the wells to get a very good workout.

The grapes are ripening faster than we expected, but they taste great. Having a grape taste like a grape is wonderful. Our Okra, Tomatoes, Squash, and Cucumbers are being picked every couple of days. We are trying out new recipes with our Lemon and Armenian cucumbers.

2 of our grandkids are down from Chicago. We are having a great time with them.

Come to the OSU-OKC farmer’s market this Saturday for Grapes, Onions, Okra, Tomatoes, Squash, Cucumbers, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, and Peppers (many different varieties and heat). Stop by our booth and say hi.

The good news on the farm is there are some green tomatoes on the tomatoes plants. They will be coming on in a couple of weeks. We are looking forward to enjoying the taste of fresh ripe tomatoes.

We have been dressing the grapes for the last couple of weeks. They have small green fruit on them. We'll see what happens with them in August.

The strawberries are still producing. Not as much as a couple of weeks ago, but it’s nice to eat strawberries that taste like a strawberry.

The okra, sweet potatoes, and yukon potatoes are all growing. We look forward to harvesting those too.

We have been planting tomatoes, potatoes, and onions the last couple of weeks. The weather has been unpredictable, frost, freeze, rain, hail, and sun. Winter of Spring 09 has been interesting. We'll see what comes up!

The baby chickens are now in the gawky teen stage. The strawberry crop is not as strong as we would have liked, but we will have some strawberries at the farmer's market on April 25. Come early to buy some.

Check out the video link on our website if you want to know why it's so important to not use pesticides.

It seems like "Here we go" is the best way to describe what is happening.  The first round of broccoli, cauliflower, beets, radishes, lettuce, peas, etc. is in the ground.   The blackberries have arrived and will be planted within the next two days.  We finally got electricity to the cool room though there is more to do before it is operational.  Now the project is to get the grapes pruned before the next round of plantings in less than two weeks.
